The Top Two Travel Rewards Credit Cards of 2011

By: TaoCredit Staff Published: March 16, 2011

Although cash back rewards credit cards are growing in numbers again, attractive travel rewards credit card incentives were always available.  Here are two examples of good reward bonuses from travel credit cards.

Those who prefer JetBlue Airways will find the American Express JetBlue Card very tempting.  With you initial purchase with the card, ten thousand bonus TrueBlue points will be instantly rewarded to you.  Ten thousand bonus points is generally enough for a free round trip domestic flight on JetBlue.   By occasionally using your card to purchase flights, the card involves no blackout dates nor do your bonus points ever expire.  On the down side, American Express JetBlue card does involve a forty-dollar annual fee.  This fee is easily justified by the ten thousand bonus points provided with its initial use.  The card can be simply obtained by visiting JetBlue's TrueBlue web site.

Another travel credit card worth mentioning is the Southwest Airlines Visa Signature card.  All Visa signature cards already provide added purchase and travel protections to their card members.  Similar to the American Express JetBlue card, the Southwest Airlines Visa credit card gives cardholders a free flight after the first purchase.  The card also carries a Fifty-nine dollar annual fee.  This is a reasonable amount considering the extra incentives involved with Signature cards from Visa.  Those wishing to apply for the card should do so quickly while the free flight bonus is still available.
