Batching
The second step in processing a credit card. The merchant's review of a day's credit card sales. First the merchant makes sure that all transactions were authorized and that the card holder's signature is attached. Then the merchant transmits the day's sales all at once, in a "batch", to the credit card company in order to get paid for the goods and services sold.
